Location: Providence, RI
The Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge, also known as the Providence River Pedestrian Bridge, opened in August 2019 as a beacon of community access and connectivity.
Spanning 450 feet across the Providence River, the bridge features custom fabricated metal railing and benches incorporated with natural Ipe wood to create an elegant and modern aesthetic.
Welding standards were high, as should be expected on a $21.9 million project, with many parts requiring a NOMMA (National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metal Association) Finish #1 with no evidence of a welded joint, for a virtually flawless metal fabrication.
